Legal Secretary REF: RM360 Location: Doncaster Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Job Section: Private Practice Contact: Ryan Murphy Our client is an established, multi service law firm based in Doncaster who are now seeking a Legal Secretary on a permanent, full time basis. Key Responsibilities/Key Areas: • To provide secretarial support to the Senior Conveyancer; working in a fast pace environment and dealing with demanding clients. • To attend with clients who visit the office without an appointment. • To deal with the workload which the Senior Conveyancer provides you with on a daily basis. • To deal with requests that come in from Good Move for Contract, TR1 and Irrevocable Authority as soon as possible as they will have a courier waiting to take them to the client. • Where possible (when your workload allows) use your initiative to take the post and/or files and deal with them as appropriate • To carry out OS1, OS2, Bankruptcy searches etc. • To speak to clients, work referrers, Estate Agents etc. and assist with their queries • Deal with post completion work i.e. stamp duty, registrations, dealing with requisitions raised, deeds to lender, deeds to client and closing files • To undertake adhoc duties for other fee earners as and when required. General • To act as an ambassador for the firm • To treat clients and colleagues fairly and with respect • To develop safe working practices and adhere to health and safety • To be well informed about policy, procedure, organisational changes and other relevant information • To have a positive attitude to learning and development • To follow and promote legislation and the Company’s policies • To have a flexible approach to working hours and duties.
