Senior Scala Developer – £450pd - £550pd - West London, Hammersmith (monthly rolling contract). Great opportunity for a Senior Scala Developer to work for a cutting edge cyber and media data company in London. As a Scala Developer you will play a key role in developing their Cloud-Based Internet Intelligence Platform as part of a small, friendly cross-functional team co-located at their Hammersmith offices to deliver their product roadmap, reporting directly to the CTO. Ability to communicate complex technology issues clearly and present to team and clients is important to them, along with ability to manage multiple projects at once and working to tight deadlines. You also must be comfortable working in a “start-up” environment in a dynamic scale up company. Experience •Scala with PlayFramework. •PostgreSQL including PL/pgSQL and PerformanceTuning. •Linux environment, shell (bash) and command linetools. •Test-Driven Development. •Continuous Integration and/orDelivery. •Excellent spoken and writtenEnglish. •Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a relatedfield. Things you can learn on the job •Chrome web extensiondevelopment. •AWS administration (console and SDK) including Autoscaling, IAM Roles, VPCs,Route 53, Lambda,Cloudwatch and Billing. •Android or any other mobile devicedevelopment. •JavaScript & WebTechnologies. •AdTech.
