IT DR/BCP Specialist - Cardiff About the company… Traditionally not known for their technical capabilities our client is completing multiple transformations. The technical teams keep the company at the forefront of technology and as the company scales in projects and size, they have an exciting IT department that are constantly thinking of new ways to improve their functions. About you… You will have a good background with both Disaster Recover and Business Contingency Planning. You will be well organised with excellent written and oral communication skills. You must be bold enough to challenge the status quo, making suggestions moving forward and take a proactive lead in creating a supporting and positive team environment. What you'll be doing… • You will manage the planning and execution of backup restore tests. This will include evolving the schedule and process as backups are created • Review current DR testing plans for suitability and regularly summarise DR capabilities • Implement and manage recovery procedures in the even of DR invocation • Provide documentation, education and training for staff regarding DR responsibilities and Contingency Planning concepts and procedures. What we're ideally looking for… • Ability to engage across all levels of the business • Someone with ITIL Foundation, hands on experience with Incident, Problem and Change Management • Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster recovery planning and testing • A good technical understanding of the principles of IT Services, Systems, Networks Desirable…. In an ideal world, you'll also have a strong awareness of regulatory requirements within the Financial Services industry. You'll also already have an awareness of SLA's and OLA's and have Certified Business Resilience IT Professional training.
