We are B Braun Avitum and we have an exciting opportunity in our Cardiff North Dialysis Unit for a dedicated, motivated senior nurse/manager looking to take their career to the next level or to make a change in your working environment and experience. This dynamic 32 station unit provides Haemodialysis & Haemodiafiltration treatment for 128 patients working in partnership with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. The unit operates safe staffing with a protected 3:1 patient to nurse ratio. As a Unit Manager, you will provide essential leadership to manage, develop and engage with the unit team, to optimise continuous quality improvement and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities: As the Unit Manager, you will hold direct responsibility for the local management, monitoring, compliance and reporting, within the B. Braun Quality Management System, ISO 9001: 2015 & Good Dialysis Practice. You will lead and manage the team, demonstrating a positive & professional 'can do' approach. You will be responsible for managing the staff, the appraisal and staff performance management process and managing the recruitment and selection process for vacancies within the unit. You will look at ways to maximise capacity by efficiently scheduling treatment sessions promoting full occupancy and minimising missed sessions. You will be under the guidance and support of the UK Operations and Clinical Quality Managers. This is a large, busy unit with challenges as the local holding unit for patients awaiting placement in their primary unit close to home. Expert coaching and peer support from the management team will help the successful candidate embrace the challenge and be in a strong position to take the unit forward.
