Overview
1st/2nd Line Engineer Location: North Sheilds Salary: Up to £30,000 Type: Permanent This company are looking for a technically- minded enthusiastic Systems Engineer who has strong 1st/2nd line experience with a strong desire to take on 3rd line responsibilities. If you are keen to develop your skills toward infrastructure engineering, this may be the right role for you. This company are keen to develop you internally and give you the opportunity to improve your skills day to day. You will be involved in the maintenance, support, availability and security of the companies IT Infrastructure. You will provide both proactive and reactive support to others to ensure service levels remain top quality. Responsibilities Management and administration of infrastructure and domain systems Provide support to the Technical Support and Application Support teams Configuration and installation of servers, software and networks Provide support to end users when calls have been escalated Maintenance of software updates and system backups Create and maintain all technical documentation Skills and Experience Essential Strong experience working with both 1st and 2nd lines of support with some experience in 3rd line Microsoft Windows Server Knowledge of networking technologies and concepts Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies Customer service experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organisational and teamwork skills Desirable VMware Virtualisation Microsoft Exchange Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, Office 365) To find out more about this role and apply, please send your CV to
