Urgent requirement due to increased global demand, this is a permanent position for a very well known, and respected organisation. Immediate starts available. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deskside Engineer to join a large IT company based in Kings Cross, London. Working in a global Service Delivery team you will provide 1st & 2nd Line Desktop Support to 200 users using a range of technologies. Duties to Include Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications Monitoring and maintaining computer systems Talking to staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues Deployment/troubleshooting of Phones (desk, mobiles, Cisco Wireless Devices, Conference), Troubleshooting systems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system Supporting the roll-out of new applications Supporting audio visual systems and services including video conferencing Testing and evaluating new technology Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment About you: Proven 2nd and 3rd line desktop support experience. Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 experienced in using Microsoft Office Apps and supporting Office 365. Active Directory administration (Users and Computers). A good understanding of Network support including wireless technologies. Hardware support for desktops, laptops, tablets, smart phones and printers. Working knowledge of the Service Management and other system/desktop management toolsets (endpoint management solutions, LANDesk/Ivanti, SCCM etc.) Consistent provider of excellent customer service.
