Overview

Role Profile: Working for a leading Technology and Network Services integration company we are looking for candidates for an exciting new project involving major refreshes of network and infrastructure systems. This project is looking for an experienced network engineer who will be working in an architectural team responsible for delivering the implementation of large UK wide multivendor IP/MPLS network. The role will be focused on the design and implementation of the IP/MPLS network and cover all areas from L2 switched access networks, to the L3 MPLS core network as well the management system and support tools to support them. The role will involve technical contribution throughout the network lifecycle, from network design through to operational implementation. This includes contributing to migration strategies, handbook writing, technical training and defining detailed provisioning rules. The key components of the network are yet to be fully defined but could include Juniper, Cisco, Nokia and Actelis network devices. They will identify and drive key components of the delivery and help direct the deployment strategy during the major phases of the project. Typical Deliverables: To work within a customer facing project team to deliver and support network application solutions for business transition, transformation and business as usual activities To create the technical requirements documentation based on business process requirements To support the product/application selection and architecture development processes To manage 3rd party suppliers including technical liaison, technical compliance, inter-dependencies between suppliers, testing, scoping of support contracts and transfer into operations End to end responsibility for the specification, design, configuration and deployment of the solutions, including all documentation, statements of work, process maps, handbooks, user guides, training and successful transfer into operations. To ensure that the solutions include the requirements of other in scope deliverable areas and that the solutions are fully integrated with the other deliverable areas To develop a strong understanding of the application portfolio used within the operational environment To provide out of hours support as required for application faults Behavioural Requirements: Ability to work in a team and on their own Positive and flexible attitude Good communication skills Problem Solving Excellent employee benefits: telent is committed to ensuring that we offer industry leading career opportunities, salary and benefits packages.
