Overview

Senior Systems Engineer - Cloud Applications Your new company You will be working for a well-known central government organisation based in London. They are seeking to recruit a Senior Systems Engineer who specialises in Web Services for a permanent position. Your new role You will lead on management of resources required to administer, support and maintain all live systems. You will be expected to provide service and support delivery for all IT systems to a level of quality matches business needs and customer requirements as they emerge. You will be the lead engineer for the system administration, support and maintenance of on-premise and cloud-based applications. What you'll need to succeed You will have experience in dealing with highly visible websites and can update these frequently, this requires a detailed eye and a good understanding of what is required. You will need to have experience of supporting and maintaining the following application environments: Databases (including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL 2008/12) Citrix XenApp Web services (including Drupal 7, LAMP stack, Tomcat & Microsoft IIS) Cloud Platforms (AWS, AZURE and O365) Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP Directory. VMWare Enterprise Servers and environment Scripting (including BASH, Perl, PowerShell & VBScript) The GLA are committed to be an inclusive employer and are happy to consider flexible working arrangements.
