Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts and Payroll Assistant to a thriving Manchester business. Ideally you will have hands on finance experience across credit control, preparation of management accounts, sales and purchase ledger, payroll, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and chasing debtors. You must be able to hit the ground running and make a positive contribution to the team. Highly proficient with sage packages and technically competent. You must be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and an investigative nature. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for assisting with all general accounts tasks, including but not limited to; Preparation of monthly payroll Bank reconciliations Weekly contractor payment runs Creating and logging invoices Process and pay staff expenses claims Debt reporting Reporting on cash levels Analysis and projection of weekly income Journals and pre-payments VAT Returns Liaising with suppliers Assisting with management accounts production Excellent package offered to the successful candidate
