Interim Credit Control/Sales Ledger opportunity based Carlisle. Your new company A global, market leading business, boasting renowned products Your new role You will be working on a 15 month contract to cover a period of maternity leave. Working as part of an experienced finance team of three, you will work in a fast paced, dynamic capacity with key responsibilities including: Full responsibility and control of the Sales Ledger. This involves raising customer invoices, dealing with customers to resolve anomalies and chase outstanding debts and preparation of the monthly sales ledger control reconciliations. Preparation of Aged Debt analysis on a monthly basis Calculation of the Bad debt provision Preparation and control of sales, including working with the Salesmen to prepare Sales Contracts and liaising with Finance customers regarding customer finance. Raising sales invoices for machines and credit notes for After Sales Responsibility for loan machine hire charges and ensuring customers are invoiced on a timely basis. Maintenance of customer master file. Working with Sales Manager to order machines from the factory Posting and prepping of journals Allocation of cash receivables and Banking Fixed asset accounting, including monthly depreciation calculation Providing cover within the small department as required. What you'll need to succeed You will have proven Credit Control and Sales Ledger experience and a background working within an accounts function would be advantageous. An excellent communicator, you will have the ability to communicate at all levels, adapting your communication style as appropriate to maintain professional, sustainable relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Outgoing and flexible, you will join a 3-man team, so flexibility is crucial to cover duties for other team members. Taking an organised, methodical approach to your work, you will have the ability to plan and prioritise your workload in order to meet deadlines. Strong Excel skills are required to succeed. A driving licence and access to your own transport is essential, given the location. What you'll get in return This role is being offered on a long-term interim basis for 15 months until June 2021.
