My client, a prestigious accountancy practice that I really enjoy working with, is based in the heart of Surrey and provides high-quality accounting services, planning and advice to a large and varied portfolio of clients focussing on SMBs and high-net worth individuals (HNW). They have over 50 staff, 8 Partners and are one of the area’s most well-established firms. They have entrusted us with finding them a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team. To have the ideal profile for this Semi-Senior Accountant role, you will be thorough, detail-orientated and have great communication skills. You will be ACCA/ACA/AAT qualified, part-qualified or QBE (qualified by experience) and are comfortable with the following: Team player and strong work ethic Developing the company’s business activity and contributing to its bottom line Keeping to deadlines and ensuring they are met A true team player who is committed to your career and progression within a firm Sage and Excel Benefits include a 20% client introduction bonus scheme, 1pm finish on Fridays This is a great opportunity for advancement because as the team’s new Semi-Senior Accountant (ACCA/ACA/AAT qualified, part-qualified or QBE) you will also be: Working directly under one of the Directors and reporting to all Directors depending on the project, ensuring lots of facetime with them Supervising 1-2 Junior staff members (Trainees) and on track to manage a team within 12-18 months o Reviewing smaller sets of statutory accounts, quarterly VAT and some management accounts prepared by them Working with a wide variety of clients who are sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, including those with an international presence, property groups, media, IT, catering groups and start-ups Preparing year-end accounts from start to finish o Including Corporation Tax computations, etc. Assisting management on preparing budgets and forecasts Competitive benefits package Because my client has a portfolio of clients who expect the best level of service, they need to attract the best people for their Semi-Senior Accountant role.
