Town Planning, Development Management, 3 Month rolling contract Your new company This Council is located in South-West London, in one of the city's most-desired and vibrant boroughs. Your new role The council are currently looking for a Senior Planning Officer to join their Development Management team. The role encompasses a variety of day-to-day responsibilities, including: Researching, considering and reporting on the full range of applications, development proposals and enforcement matters including major developments, under the Planning Acts and related legislation. Researching, considering and reporting on pre-application enquiries. Preparing appeal statements, appearing at public inquiries and hearings and answering enquiries from applicants, their agents and other customers in relation to planning matters, advising other departments as required. Preparing for and attending planning committees. What you'll need to succeed In order to be considered for the role, you will need an RTPI accredited planning degree (or equivalent), along with licentiate membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute / eligibility for chartered membership and evidence of relevant continuous professional development. Furthermore, candidates are expected to have excellent working knowledge of current planning legislation and practice.
