Overview

THE ROLE My client, a large firm of construction consultants seeks a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER to join their team in the City of London office to work specifically on Occupier Fit Out projects. You will need to be able to run your own projects from inception to completion. As you will work on CAT B office fit-out projects previous experience is required on this type of project. You will work on projects that are generally in excess of 60,000 sq. ft. You will take a leading role in dealing with the client and the professional team plus the contractors. THE CLIENT My client is a successful international firm of construction consultants providing cost management and project management across a wide range of sectors. You will join their team who are working on occupier fit out. THE CANDIDATE You will need to have a BSc or BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or another construction / built environment subject. Ideally you will be MRICS / MAPM / RIBA or similarly qualified. You also need to have at least five years' minimum experience working as a Project Manager post graduation in the construction industry. You should have worked for either a firm of construction consultants ideally. Experience and knowledge of all aspects of construction project management is required to be able to advise on procurement of resources, to manage the monitoring and be able to apply performance management techniques, advise on project finances, preparation of project progress and reports, lead on project planning etc. Experience of working on high end office fit outs is essential for this role. My client seeks candidates who have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken), who are enthusiastic and dynamic to deal with challenging projects and demanding clients and able to work without supervision. You will need to have a stable work record with known firms. Salary will be very negotiable according to your current salary and requirements for a new role plus there are a number of benefits.
