A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Human Resources (HR) Adviser to join the team. As a Senior HR Adviser (Human Resources) the role will include you: Managing of a portfolio of up to 60 schools and academies providing them with a full range of HR advice, including supporting customers with employee relation casework, both remotely and onsite at formal meetings Dealing with a high volume of ER/ Employee Relations caseloads that result from your portfolio of schools both remotely and onsite at formal meetings including - disciplinary & capability (performance & health) cases, grievance, redundancy, restructures and TUPE To attend and advise, where necessary at formal hearings/appeals up to and including dismissals and attend and advise at union consultation meetings. Working with a HR Administrator who will deal with your administration that results from these cases. As a successful Senior HR Adviser (Human Resources) you will have the following skills and experience: You will be an experienced HR professional, who is part or fully CIPD (or equivalent) qualified. You will have a proven track record of managing and solving a range of complex ER casework including disciplinary, appraisal and capability, grievance, sickness absence management In addition, you will need the following: Minimum of 18 months experience in an advisory position within a HR environment, which will include advice & support for managers, training, responsible for issues such as the appointment and dismissal of staff, grievance, disciplinary procedures, absence management, redundancy etc Advising on employment legislation and conditions of service to ensure compliance and best practice Ability to gain credibility with customers and confident in negotiating with trade union representatives Competency in working within the constraints of predefined employment policies and procedure Experience of working within the education industry is preferable, but the role will also suit those who have worked in LA’s NHS, Fire and Rescue or in a role that means you have worked across multiple sites and multiple cases at any one time To apply for the position of HR Adviser please click on button shown or contact Simon Hogg directly for further information.
