Overview
The Raeburn Hotel is a boutique hotel situated in the heart of Stockbridge in Edinburgh, just a short walk from the city centre. We are looking for a sous chef to join our team. You will be working under our experienced head chef and covering for days off and supporting the other members of the kitchen team. Sous Chef Duties Lead the kitchen in absence of Head Chef Oversee and organise kitchen stock and ingredients Work with Head Chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability and training opportunities Ensure food is kept to high quality and freshness Coordinate with management team on ordering, budget and kitchen efficiency Training of new kitchen employees to our standards Training on all HASAP and COSH procedures Ensures the kitchen complies with stringent environmental health procedures Assist Head Chef with menu creation The successful candidate should have extensive food knowledge, strong organisational skills, attention to detail, leadership, ability to work under pressure, self motivated, strong problem solving skills and ambitious to strive higher.
