Your new company This specialise software business has carved out a niche within supply chain and logistics, enabling them to continue to grow and bucking the trend over other industries where uncertainty is reigning. They are looking to increase headcount with a Lead Developer in a newly created role. You'll be based from their head office location near to Basingstoke with excellent access to most of Hampshire and Surrey for someone with their own transport. Your new role This is crucially a hybrid role in which you will need skills covering hands-on full stack development but also technical ownership/leadership on projects. You will not be people managing but should have ambitions to be the go-to technical resource in a team, reporting directly into the Development Manager and MD. As mentioned this role sits within a thriving business that has no shortage of work available. Specifically you'll spearhead the Development of one of the flagship products targeted at the marine/maritime sector. This will include technical roadmap suggestions, features to be added and inclusion on hiring for the team. As well as the main product you'll face, my client develops smaller bespoke solutions to solve specific customer challenges. They are enablers, problem solvers and help maximise revenue streams. This wider product portfolio provides ample opportunity for you to flex your creative/problem solving skills within a stimulating working environment. The team run Agile and you'll find all voices are listened to. The intention is to continue recruiting this year which will afford progression opportunities for the right candidate as well. What you'll need to succeed The right candidate will need to demonstrate excellent comfortability across C# .Net Back end using Web API but also with modern JavaScript Frameworks (ideally React or Angular). For this role we need someone at the sharp end of technology, someone who is actively involved in seeking our new trends and who sings about software best practice. This is the kind of culture and appreciation we want within the Dev team. Pushing a test-first mentality will go hand in hand with this so that will be important, as will strong database/SQL Server skills.
