We require a Parts Supervisor of the highest caliber to join our team at our Mercedes-Benz Dealership in Stockport. This is an exciting role working 45 hours in the week. Key Purpose of Role Supervising the parts operation and ensuring the smooth running of the department. Promoting the highest levels of customer satisfaction and ensuring all Mercedes-Benz standards are met. Accountabilities You are required to maintain ethical standards in accordance with the Company’s Policies and the Company's Compliance Guidelines and Policies including Anti-Bribery and all relevant competition law. To ensure that within your area of operation all regulations and standards with regards to FCA are adhered to. Reporting to the Aftersales Manager and forming part of the Aftersales Management Structure with ASM and SM. Responsible for the parts performance of the site and for delivery of the business plan including controlling cost management for the department. Preparing and keeping under tight control department reports including stock control (negative, non-stock, parts status), parts procurement and special order parts. Managing the completion of perpetual stock checks and full department stock checks. Managing, coaching and motivating employees to foster team development including the completion of regular staff 1-2-1’s and Appraisals to review the level of target achievement. All staff are to be motivated, targeted and focused on goals including specific training requirements set out by the ASM. Promote, at all times, the Mercedes-Benz culture of quality and excellence and deliver the Mercedes-Benz experience. In conjunction with the ASM, determine HR requirements for the parts business and assist in the recruitment of new team members. Liaising with head office HR department when necessary, but to include department sickness control and the completion of RTW documentation. Actively passing on relevant information to employees. Maintain a display of goods in parts and sales areas. Accessories are to be displayed to a high standard and priced showing promotion of goods. To have a marketing plan in place for the retail side of the business involving promotion of goods, sales targets, forecast of sales and direct profit. Looking after dissatisfied customers and those with difficult complaints by setting an example in terms of friendliness and style of dealing with customers. Performance analysis to identify areas of weakness and appropriate marketing activity. Developing measures for ensuring and increasing customer satisfaction and maximising conversion of customer opportunity. To have parts department at required high standard of cleanliness. All parts located, walkways clear and health and safety guidelines followed. Monitoring compliance with all statutory regulations and ensuring quality control of all completed tasks. To supply the service department with outstanding levels of service including team working, pre-picking and supporting both the sales and service department with technical product queries. Order, receive, pick, and deliver parts for internal and external customers. Ensuring permanent availability or sourcing at short notice of spare parts and accessories. Monitoring inventory documentation and controlling inventory optimisation. Mercedes–Benz PDR and returns process under tight control and within guidelines laid down by manager and Mercedes–Benz. Claims to be managed on a daily basis. Ensuring defective spare parts from complaints and warranty claims are returned correctly. Ensure external customer satisfaction particularly with regard to parts and supply information. Ensure local and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and that all statutory requirements including trading standards, vehicle and consumer legislation, fire, health and safety etc are adhered to Proven experience in a technical environment Parts and service experience within a franchised motor trade environment. IT literate. Full and clean driving licence. People management particularly in terms of achievement through teams. Leadership style should be highly visible and hands on. Enthusiasm to deliver the Mercedes-Benz experience and continuously improve product knowledge of self and others.
