The Company Overview: Butler Rose are partnered with a PE backed Financial Services group based on the outskirts of Preston. Currently in a period of high growth, which is set to treble the business over the next 3 years, they have sites across the UK and are looking to grow further both organically and also through further acquisition across the UK. With over 200 staff and a finance function consisting of highly astute professionals this role is pivotal in the future success of the business. Your New Role As Project Accountant: As Project Accountant you shall be rewarded with a fantastic opportunity to join the Group in a new role created to oversee projects and manage change as well supporting the continued acquisition strategy. Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director you will play a key role in helping to shape the future success of the business by developing and maintaining robust financial data management systems and utilising these to provide comprehensive business and financial information to enable the efficient and effective delivery of projects across the business. Main Duties: Develop, implement and maintain financial and performance/risk management systems to enable accurate and consistent data capture and effective reporting and monitoring of all financial aspects of acquisitions and projects. Monitoring progress of projects across the business to manage the associated risks and opportunities to enable effective management of project performance Supporting integration of post acquisition activity MI preparation and analysis to drive organic growth Ensure projects have income models, ensuring consistency, compliance and accurate allocation of costs and transparency across the Group Investigating variances of project costs Working with other parts of the project team as necessary Producing project accounts and reports Supporting the Accounts function. The Experience & Qualifications Required: You shall be able to demonstrate experience and success in managing change. With proven experience as a Project Accountant you shall be fully qualified, either ACA, ACCA or CIMA and maintain strong business acumen. With advanced Excel skills, particularly in manipulation of data and data analysis you shall also have strong organisational skills and the ability to deliver to timeframes. With experience in project/change management you shall also be technically sound with the ability to work as part of a driven team.
