Supply Chain Manager £38,000 - £45,000 FMCG Manchester Head Office Do you want to be part of a rapidly expanding FMCG entrepreneurial business? Our Client is a fast-moving entrepreneurial business without the bureaucracy and formalities of the bigger corporate. They are customer focused, with a strong reputation for innovation. The business has seen exponential growth, particularly over the past 3 years, having infiltrated the US markets and expanded the UK customer base. Following recent investment, they now have an impressive business plan for further growth, via new products and markets. As such they are now recruiting several key positions to facilitate that growth. One of those positions is for a Supply Chain Manager. The purpose of the role is to manage inbound freight from suppliers in various European countries and Canada; manage the performance of our third-party warehouses in the UK; manage customer fulfilment in the UK, Ireland and US. This is achieved through successful collaboration with third party logistics providers and freight forwarders. Responsibilities include: · Manage a team of four employees · Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements to ensure logistics partners are performing to agreed standards · Monitor and control freight and warehouse costs · Develop cost effective and efficient solutions, such as backhaul arrangements · Troubleshoot day to day issues that arise with customers and logistics partners · Manage the effects of the UK’s departure from the EU · Support the forthcoming ERP implementation · Drive improvement projects Key Skills: · In-depth knowledge and understanding of international trade and supply chain · A strong understanding of FMCG · Experience of managing 3PL relationships · Experience of managing a team · Experience of an ERP implementation/upgrade is desirable · Excellent communication and influencing to develop strong relationships internally and externally · Able to prioritise and allocate time effectively · Strong team player · Highly organised and motivated In return our clients offer a highly attractive remuneration package including a competitive salary, discretionary bonus, 25 days holiday (plus birthday), generous non-contributory pension scheme, travel insurance and team socials.
