Our Client is a market leader in the provision of international and domestic parcel solutions to both businesses and home addresses. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a REGIONAL COURIER PLANNER based out of our clients bust MAIDSTONE depot. The Regional Planner role has responsibility to plan and oversee the regional planning requirements that will ensure delivery of service in a co-ordinated approach and delivered by the field and courier team in a timely, efficient way that increases output in the region. This role will measure and improve courier recruitment through analysing the courier turnover we have and identifying ways to improve this, setting pipeline targets, measuring success and highlighting problem areas. A key area of focus will be regional round planning and around cost control. This role is depot based. Key Responsibilities: Measuring and improving Field Manager recruitment activity regionally. Co-ordinating Courier Pipeline solutions ensuring hard to fill areas are regularly targeted by using all methods including advertising, mail shots and recruitment days. Responsible for regular review of round costs against Regional Budgetary targets, creating regular and adhoc round reviews to assess RPH levels, round volume, fair pay and overall cost. Supporting the Contractor team with round planning and cost improvements to parcel rates. Round coverage improvements for the region - next day, Sundays, Light and Large ete. Co-ordinating Region/ Field Activity. The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker with good understanding of Excel, Word and PowerPoint and be able to create spread sheets and pivot tables. Communication is key to this role so strong presentation skills are essential as well as being an effective communicator at all levels with the ability to influence. You'll be able to see the bigger picture and understand how good planning methodology can support the business efficiency so previous experience with planning, co-ordination, creating contingencies and solutions would be ideal. Familiarity with planning tools such as Geoplan, Map Point, Paragon, etc is desirable but not essential.
