Operations Manager JOB: Production Manager - Machine Shop experience essential THIS IS AN INTERIM ROLE FOR UP TO 24 MONTHS LOCATION: Bingley, West Yorkshire SALARY: Circa £55k to £60k (negotiable for right candidate) Pension, 25 days holiday plus statutory days My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to coach, develop and inspire the existing team of supervisors and shop floor personnel. This role could be PERMANENT or INTERIM (if Interim, then it would be for a period anticipated at 12-24 months). It is essential that you have MACHINE SHOP experience. If you have a Degree (Mechanical Engineering; Materials Engineering preferred) or a Production engineering qualification, alongside relevant experience, this would be desirable. This role will be part of the Senior Management Team and, in effect, the right hand person to the Site Director. You will be seeing through all the on site Production processes including inventory, goods received, goods inspected, despatch etc. Great communication skills and people management abilities are essential. My client is looking for someone who can work with, COACH and INSPIRE, the existing supervisory team and shop floor personnel. You'll need to be level headed, a people person, someone who can really listen and who is able to control and motivate staff.
