Overview
Tech Lead, Uxbridge, £75-83K £6.7K Car Allowance 15% Bonus (£102K package) bens. You must have a background as a Tech Lead and be happy spending 50% of your time coding. Our Tech Stack On the Client-Side: Vanilla JavaScript / ECMAScript (ES5), AngularJS / Angular, React / React Native, Flow or TypeScript. CSS3 with LESS/SASS & HTML5 On the Server-Side: Java 8 with AspectJ & Maven, Spring Framework including AOP, Boot, Cloud, JDBC, MVC, Security. Relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle & Amazon RDS. Message brokers including ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ or Amazon SNS/SQS. PHP with Zend. Continuous Integration with Jenkins, Test-Driven Development with Chai, JUnit, Karma, Mocha, & Sinon, Behaviour-Driven Development with Cucumber / Protractor, Agile Software Development and practical experience of Extreme Programming, Kanban & Scrum Candidates with any of the following skills will be strongly preferred: Amazon Web Services, Docker, Kubernetes, Hazelcast, Hystrix, OpenShift, Redis, Zuul Key Skills & Experience Ideally you'll possess a computer science degree or comparable real-world experience and have previously been employed in a technical leadership role with line management responsibilities. This is very much a hands-on role and you should anticipate spending at least half of your time in the trenches cutting code alongside your product team and technical lead peers in addition to the following duties: Line Management of Software Development Engineers Admin Approving Holidays Approving Timesheets Extending Contracts Tracking Absence People 1:1s Escalation of Pay & HR Issues Identifying Skills Gaps Personal Development Plans Setting & Tracking Objectives Recruitment Create Job Specifications Interviewing Onboarding Technical Leadership both Internally & Externally Aligning Business Strategy with Technology Strategy Behavioural Change Allowing Failure Encouraging Ownership Facilitating Collaboration Shaping The Team Coaching & Mentoring Managing On-Call Rota Providing Architectural Guidance Representing the Team at Scrum of Scrums Synchronising with Peers Tracking Technical Debt Coding, Coding, Coding Automation Best Practices Continuous Improvement Extreme Programming Product Delivery Security Testing Quality This Tech lead position is based in Uxbridge and pays c£75-83K £6.7K Car Allowance 15% Bonus (£102K package) Bens, depending on relevant experience.
