Project Manager - Software £50,000 - £60,000 per annum Company bonus Car Allowance We are recruiting for a Project Manager who is responsible for the project delivery of software solutions to end users, to agreed specification, time and budget. This role requires client stakeholder engagement and as such is suited to a Project Manager that is currently external facing. This company is an established provider of process automation software and is a profitable and expanding business. The key focus of the project manager is on delivering Business applications. Essential for this role are a knowledge of Software development processes, and experience working with local and distributed teams. Scrum certification, and experience of agile methodologies such as Kanban are desirable. This role requires experience communicating, and managing relationships at CXO level Essential Prerequisites for the Project Manager position Knowledge of both waterfall and agile software development processes. Experience of working with co-located and distributed teams. Good spoken and written communication and collaboration skills. Self-starter with a proactive attitude. Desired Experience: Experience of some agile methodologies. Any Project management certification. Your key responsibilities as a Project Manager will be: Delivery of the solution and contracted services to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Working cross functionally within the business and in collaboration with the customer to identify, manage and remedy any risks, issues, dependencies or blockers. Maintaining a constant line of communication with the senior leadership team. Should an issue require escalation, you are responsible for resolution in the appropriate channel. Looking beyond the bounds of team's working environment to solve problems, on a regular basis. Communicating the team's output to internal and external stakeholder groups at regular intervals. Reporting status and key metrics both to the wider organisation and back to the team as a feedback mechanism. Taking responsibility of budget management including appropriate escalation, where required. Ensuring project governance is adhered to and any remedial actions are completed in a timely fashion. The Project Manager job is perfect if you: Are a confident communicator, with both technical and non-technical teams. Have the gravitas to inspire your teams, and help coach and mentor less experienced members. Are comfortable working in a transforming environment where some teams work agile and others work to other methodologies such as waterfall. Make customer-oriented decisions and share great stories of exceptional customer service. Are degree educated in a relevant subject Lead multiple projects where resources are not solely dedicated to one project. Work in external client facing projects and are able to work under challenging delivery pressure when needed. Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and providing information across projects. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, identify and manage risk, influence others to get work done and hold them accountable are required. Experience using visual aid for projects with multiple phases, offering transparency to stakeholders and easy to follow guidelines for team members. Lead work stream dependencies and the impact on downstream working groups. Track updated accomplishments, landmarks, key issues and/or change controls. Create a development environment that is creative, safe, productive and supportive and enables multi-direction collaboration. Ensure team members have all the resources necessary to do their job.
