QA Engineer Middlesbrough - £25-30k per annum Bens Our client who are a major leader in their field are seeking the skills and experience of a QA Engineer. This is a key hire for the company, as they seek to hire top talent to ensure that their product is developed to high standards and retain a competitive edge in the market. Essential Skills: Essential: · Experience of working in a manual testing role in a software environment, developing and executing tests to validate system functionality against specifications. · Ability to detect and track software defects and inconsistencies. · Demonstrable understanding of the principles of test automation as applied to Windows desktop applications. · Able to produce high-quality test plans, documentation and reports as required. · Previous hands-on experience with writing and executing test scripts · Previous experience with automated testing tools for desktop applications, for example Sikuli and TestComplete · Good understanding of automated testing frameworks · Experience with Agile (Scrum) methodologies · Degree level or equivalent education preferred in a relevant subject such as computer science, software engineering etc · Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously · Experience in data analysis · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment · Good time management skills · Great communication skills Desirable: · Experience of Test automation · Source control systems, specifically SVN · Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies · ISTQB Certified If this role is of interest to you then please apply and speak to David Eales.
