Job Summary Job Title: Support Worker Location: Eastbourne Road – Eastbourne, BN20 9NE. Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £8.80 per hour Information: This role is shift work. If this sounds great to you… Then you’re just what we’re looking for and we’d like to hear from you What do our Support Workers do? Supporting someone isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more. Eastbourne Road is a residential home supporting individuals aged 18-50 with learning disabilities, behavioural needs, autism spectrum conditions and/or epilepsy. This service aims to provide life skills training to encourage individuals to move on from residential care in to supported living. Eastbourne Road promotes communication for individuals with communication needs through use of pictorial aids, audio communication systems and a speech therapist where required. Support is structured so individuals have access to a range of activities including football, cinema visits, exercise classes, music groups and swimming. What experience do you need? You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you. You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.
