Overview

Solutions Architect Leeds £595 per day 6 months A Solutions Architect is required for our public sector client. You will need to have extensive experience of ERP implementation, solution design, system integrations and will have excellent relationship building skills. The project is a major transformational change programme aimed at enhancing processes, ways of working and systems used. This will include a revitalisation of the Ellucian Banner records system, introduction of an Admissions CRM, a Curriculum Management solution, new Document Management & automated workflow tools as well as a large-scale data cleanse, introduction of new system integration methodology, new reporting platforms and much more. The programme will affect every part of the administration life cycle. As a Solutions Architect your main duties will include: Taking the lead role in the analysis of project requirements and the development of appropriate business and IT architectures; Designing complex, sustainable solutions and embedding working practices for a major change programme; Identifying and reporting delivery issues and risks as appropriate and working to mitigate or minimise impacts; Driving efficiencies through technologies and process improvements; Ensuring the right data is available to the right people at the right time The ideal candidate will have: Experience of leading successful project delivery in a large organisation as either an architect or design lead; Experience of architecture assessment and definition of business applications and infrastructure design and migration in complex environments; Experience of supporting stakeholders to develop their business cases, scope and requirements to a sufficient standard to allow for options appraisals and high/low levels of solution design. Excellent understanding and experience of applying architectural principles across business applications, infrastructure and cloud technologies, including assurance of regulatory, legislative and industry practices; Experience of effectively analysing problems and data, presenting solutions, and information in a meaningful way Experience with vendor selection & management including tender processes including OJEU style procurements Experience of working to deadlines, prioritising a complex range of tasks to ensure delivery in a role which has made competing demands on your time. Desirable: A degree in a technical or computer related subject; TOGAF or BCS Architect certification. Experience of Higher Education sector. Experience of large-scale, complex data migrations Experience with architectural modelling tools eg: BizzDesign/UML/Archimate Knowledge of student record systems such as Ellucian Banner Experience with CRM software - Microsoft Dynamics Knowledge in test automation Knowledge in SQL Knowledge in APIs/integration Knowledge in software development frameworks and continuous integration
