Overview
This business is a specialist in Mobile Analytics, and are experts at helping companies monitor their enterprise mobile devices, spotting issues before they have an impact and highlighting ways to make improvements that will increase the return on investment. They partner with businesses including Royal Mail, Volkswagen, BT, Panasonic and Panasonic. They are looking for two graduates to join their friendly team in dynamic software developer roles (web and mobile device development). You will be working as part of an agile development team, it’s an environment where open communication and contributing ideas is encouraged. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and gain exposure to different and cutting-edge technologies. Development will be for a range of platforms and mobile devices. The role includes participation in design, build, test, deployment and support using object-oriented programming languages and tools to deliver software for front- and back-office mobile and web-based applications. You will have the opportunity to use your analytical and problem-solving skills, taking ownership of and resolving problems as and when they arise, and reacting to change. In addition, you will be helping to support testing and implementation across the software pipeline. You should have a minimum 2.2 classification in a Computer Science or Software Engineering related degree, ideally specialising in Java, C# or something similar Other degrees may be considered if you have relevant work experience in and a personal interest in software development with proven skills/ portfolio e.g. GitHub or personal projects Exposure to JavaScript, NodeJS, React, native iOS/Android development would be ideal, but don’t worry if not as the business has a focus on continuing professional development and training, and you will be able to learn and develop lots of new skills. The development team is located in a converted farm building in the middle of an Orchard to the south of Oxford. The location is idyllic and it is not unknown for development meetings to be held in hammocks or round a barbecue. It is possible to commute from Oxford, Reading and Swindon- if using public transport, Didcot is the nearest station, a couple of the team cycle off road from there (there is a cycle to work scheme), or there is a bus for the less adventurous (though there is still a bit of a walk after).
