Overview

Production Controller / Material Planner Aerospace Industry Wolverhampton 6 months £15-16ph PAYE and £18ph Umbrella Role Summary: Responsible for ensuring new & used material availability to support delivery of customer requirements in line with Plan. Key Accountabilities: Understand forecast / planned Customer demand Develop a forward material plan to support delivering Customer demand Optimise planning parameters (PFEP) to achieve plan and inventory targets Work with partners (Supply Chain, Rework, etc.) to secure material to plan Manage Lines of Balance for each product delivery Validate schedule to capacity. Manage work order release in line with Build requirement. Manage escalation process when a deviation from plan occurs. Management of Engineering change introduction, product transfer and Entry into Service. Working with operators, production schedules, materials and equipment to ensure on time in full delivery to all Customers. Communication of all customer delivery commitments. Measures of success: Customer OTD: Spares & MRO First time kit rate Inventory optimization Basic Qualifications & Person Specification: Good influencing skills and ability to cope under pressure. Proven record of problem solving and driving issues to conclusion Responsive to change working in an environment of continuous improvement. Demonstrable use of SAP, Excel and other digital tools. Highly motivated and analytical with excellent written and verbal communication skills Supportive of ACE/AIM From time to time the successful candidate may be required by the Company to perform other tasks which are not included in the above description, but are within the capabilities of the individual and where necessary training will be given.
