Title: Full Care Team Location: Balham, SW12 Nearest Train Station: Balham Wage: £10.47 gross per hour Driver required? Not Required Essential: Supporting clients with learning disabilities, autism, excellent communication skills Start Date: ASAP Days & Hours: Shifts available Monday – Sunday 7.00am – 3.00pm, 2.30pm – 9.30pm, Waking nights 9pm – 7.30am Family/Client Pets: Friendly dog About this client/child: Ben (23) is an active and lively young man who enjoys football, exercising, dancing, music and attending social events. Ben has been diagnosed with autism and requires assistance with daily tasks. Ben lives in his own flat and requires a team of Support Workers who will support him and ensure that Ben can live an independent, active and engaging life Overview of role: You will be responsible for supporting Ben through personal care routines, accompanying him out and organising activities Ben can engage in. Ben requires 24/7 assistance and part of the role would be to support him during the night, ensuring he is safe. Essential to this role is ensuring that Ben’s independence is encouraged and promoted, you must be able to work in a person-centred way. Who this job would suit: We require a confident, proactive and friendly Support Worker who can support Ben to enjoy his interests and activities, promote his independence and encourage self-confidence. You will need extensive experience with young adults with autism and learning disabilities.
