Overview

Supply Chain Analyst required for market leading specialist manufacturer. As a Supply Chain Analyst you will be an integral member of the Purchasing function and will assist in achieving objectives and executing agreed plans. You will have a proactive approach in reviewing current systems and making recommendations to implement changes where necessary. Key responsibilities include: To monitor and meet demand using relevant MRP messages and low stock exception reports and to prioritise daily MRP messages, reviewing the low stock exceptions report, thus eliminating any supply jeopardies; To identify daily parts issues in advance and advise as to any potential long or short term issues; To assist in sourcing and assessing the supply chain, when required and the day to day management of relevant suppliers, ensuring compliance to SQAS and to resolve all short - medium term supply problems; To monitor, report and react to any market or supplier jeopardies; To reduce total acquisition costs using relevant tools, including negotiation, to increase stock turns; To support product changes through NPD and NPI, providing procurement support for changes and new products; To respond in a timely manner to Customer Service enquiries; To communicate requirements to suppliers and manage suppliers on a daily basis; To participate in negotiation where necessary with suppliers - preferential pricing, carriage, lead times, batch sizes, delivery quantities etc. To continually review part category, lead times, safety stocks, forecast etc. with a view to raising stock turns and lowering stock out scenarios; To minimise / reduce slow and obsolete stock; To assist in the rationalisation of suppliers and parts; To participate and, when required, lead projects related to the supply chain, e.g. supplier identification etc. To investigate and implement innovative supply chain practices and participate in Supply Chain Improvement Programmes; This is a full time role, 5 days a week, 09.00 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday and 09.00 to 12.00 on a Friday. The role pays up to £27k, dependent on relevant experience and comes with suite of benefits including a group pension scheme, a subsidised canteen, plus more.
