Supply Chain Manager

Supply Chain Manager - Recycling An exciting role has just become available for a national Supply Chain Manager in Recycling, reporting to the Supply Chain Director. This role would ideally suit someone with a varied Supply Chain background, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities. As Supply Chain Manager you will work within the DS Smith Supply Chain Team to manage a portfolio of Supplier accounts and to ensure profitability, customer satisfaction and operational service levels are met. The successful candidate must have the flexibility to travel extensively. What the role will involve … To take responsibility for the end to end supplier account activities To manage the day to day procurement and operational relationship for a portfolio of third-party supply partners Ensure day to day services are provided to achieve world class service levels, manage supplier performance to remedy service failures and maintain performance trends by supplier To negotiate industry leading pricing to increase contract profitability Undertake annual price increase negotiations with suppliers To negotiate specific rates in support of New Business and tenders To be able to travel to undertake supplier meetings To develop and maintain effective internal relationships with a number of internal stakeholder departments such as Sales, Finance, Business Services, Commercial, Compliance and Depot Teams Work with Finance to support resolving supplier queries and payments Work with Commercial Team to improve contract margins Identify new ideas and innovations to benefit the client portfolio Identify additional suppliers and new disposal outlets Monthly reports on market update and supplier performance Ensure full compliance with all relevant company policies, including but not exclusive to all Health and Safety rules and directives.
