We are currently recruiting Independent Non-Medical Prescribing Nurses to work in Stockton-on-Tees. Hays Healthcare currently have opportunities for Independent Non-Medical Prescribers (NMP's) in Stockton on Tees. Your new role We are looking for individuals who can work on a full-time agency basis. There is the option to work a high volume of shifts, with the potential opportunity for block bookings. You will: Deliver health promotion and harm reduction interventions in a client-centred manner Assist in co-ordinate and delivery of immunisation testing and vaccination programme Co-ordinate and deliver call and recall services for Hepatitis B and Hepatitis A immunisations, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV testing Contribute to the maintenance of client clinical databases Deliver advice on safer sex, contraception, nutrition and healthy living Prescribe cost effectively and according to best practice and national and local policy Liaise with pharmacists regarding supervised dispensing and prescription queries Share care with GPs for clients in Primary Care Extended Services (PCES) Provide prescribing information and advice to Pharmacy and Shared Care GPs Be familiar with and adhere to service and statutory guidelines and policies Complete Blood Borne Virus - pre/post-test counselling and immunisation. Co-ordinate and deliver call and recall services for Hepatitis B and Hepatitis A immunisations, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV testing Work in collaboration with the local NHS hepatology service and Clinical Nurse Specialists What you'll need to succeed The successful applicant will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of nursing and must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). You must be able to adapt to a fast-paced working environment, be an excellent communicator and be confident in your decision-making abilities and have addictions nursing experience.
