Production Planning Engineer
Overview
Compass Resourcing are recruiting for our Bradford based Engineering client who are seeking a Production Planning Engineer. This is a permanent position to start ASAP. This is an exciting and high profile appointment within a progressive engineering business, where you will play a key role in the successful operation of the production facility. Responsibilities include: · Acting as key point of liaison between sales, technical and production to determine and understand customer requirements. · Production and management of detailed production process documents, developing route cards, detailed production schedules and determining timescales of jobs. · Monitoring and checking on ongoing works to ensure timely completion of jobs. · Collate, assess and report on data/info on production processes and performance · Trouble shooting to ensure a smooth production route Suitable candidates will be experienced engineers with a machine shop background. You will be a technically able mechanical engineer, likely have operated as a Production and/or Planning Engineer and have a strong understanding of the workings and issues of a machine shop environment. Key to the job is to understand the routing of works through production, and being able to effectively schedule works to ensure best results for the company and customer alike You will have an analytical approach, strong attention to detail and a commercial outlook. £Salary dependent on experience.
