Overview
Senior Corporate Counsel Opportunity for an ambitious corporate lawyer to work within the group legal team of a multinational FMCG group. Reporting to the Legal Director, Group Legal Affairs, the role will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the head office functions of the business, including advising on corporate and transactional activities, with a particular focus on day-to-day corporate actions, and the corporate and inter-company agreements and arrangements required to document such arrangements. Location: East Berkshire Daily Rate: 530 - PAYE Duration: 6 months initially Role Summary: This role is global in its outlook and will require an ability to apply multi-jurisdictional laws to arrangements and business practices which span a number of territories. The person appointed will need to build strong relationships and credibility with, and gain the trust of, business and legal colleagues quickly. The person appointed must be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, and to prioritise and spot red flag issues. The client is an entrepreneurial and outcome-driven business with a fast-paced and demanding working environment, it is critical that the advice provided by the in-house legal community is commercially-orientated and that complex legal principles are explained quickly and simply. Experience/ Qualifications Required: Qualified lawyer - English law (or similar jurisdiction) with strong experience of corporate/transactional work gained in private practice at a prominent firm or in-house at a leading international business.
