Application Developer - Java & Web Technologies (SC Cleared) Location: Croydon for 2/3 months - Leicester for the remainder of the contract Rate: £500.00 pd IR35: Inside Scope - The client's cocan only accept Umbrella engagements. SC Clearance: A live & active SC Clearance required Our client has partnered with a large scale public sector organisation reinventing their national policing systems as a born-on-the-cloud solution on AWS using an API driven approach. They're seeking an SC Cleared Java Developer with appreciation for a DevOps setting an environement. Together they are building a data services platform using leading edge DevOps techniques to automate build test and deployment alongside a range of test automation approaches. Required Experience and Skills: Experience in building and supporting Java API services utilising Apache Camel and Spring Boot frameworks. Exp of DevOps CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins GitLab Maven and Artifactory. Exp of Test Driven Dev Cucumber Design and dev high-volume low-latency apps for mission-critical systems and deliver high-availability and performance in a Cloud environment Contribute in all phases of the dev life cycle - estimations Complete applications dev by coordinating requirements schedules and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting dev and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms. Desired Skills: An understanding of Agile methods Familiarity of SQL and non SQL databases Familiarity of Search Indexers Familiarity of Wiremock Experience of delivery to Public Sector clients Please Note Due to the timescales, the client can only consider candidates with an active SC Clearance.
