Overview
Head of Global Portfolio requiredby our client, an international organisation, currently implementing a global finance transformation programme. The role will be contributing to the effective and professional management of change, you will be responsible for implementing effective Portfolio management practices, aligning the Change Portfolio to support the objectives of the company’s Strategy. Prioritising the allocation of investment funds (between £30m and £40m per annum) and driving the standardisation and improvements to Programme and Project management practices across the Global Change portfolio and wider organisation. Based at our clients prestigious offices in Manchester the role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a multicultural environment. They are offering a salary up to £64500 bonus & exceptional benefits including attractive pension scheme (employer contributions up to 22%) and 32 days holiday plus bank holidays. Head of Global Portfolio will support the Director of Operations, and will assist key stakeholders across the organisation, including the Investment Board, in making decisions about cross organisational priorities; driving for a balanced portfolio which meets the organisation’s strategic priorities as effectively as possible. This role supports the organisation to identify the 'right’ change initiatives and assess whether sufficient return on investment is being achieved. Head of Global Portfolio Key Skills and Experience: Demonstrable experience of synthesising large volumes of information and producing high-quality and credible analysis to support board level decisions. Finance and risk management and reporting: comfortable with interpreting and presenting financial and risk reports across a portfolio of different programmes Stakeholder Management: experience of developing relationships, coaching and management of senior stakeholders at the highest levels inside an organisation Proven ability to drive organisational change in a complex, high pressure environment Significant experience in the leadership and management of complex change programmes across a substantial, geographically dispersed organisation to deliver defined business benefits Ideally an understanding of Portfolio Management techniques and practical application to inform decision making.
