Overview
Our client: Our client is a major company in the UK Water Sector. They currently have a vacancy working as a Process R&D Manager to work in their RD&I department based in Kempton/Reading. They are looking for someone to come onboard and provide technical leadership, strategic direction and management of the research and development portfolio. As a Process Research & Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying and agreeing research priorities with the Senior Managers. In addition, you will be a recognized leader and will be responsible for managing a team of up to 25 R&D scientists/engineers. Responsibilities/Role: Identify and priorities business needs - working closely with stakeholders and agree priorities. You will bring knowledge of the water/wastewater market including latest scientific and technical developments Develop a balanced R&D portfolio - based on a prioritised set of business needs, you will be responsible for producing a balanced R&D portfolio Management and execution of the R&D programme - Responsible for management and development including management of people including employees, researchers, consultants and contractors. Knowledge transfer and embedding solutions into the business - Working with key business key stakeholders to transfer knowledge which can be put into the business. In addition, providing technical leadership to the business Experience: Science or engineering related degree Technical experience in the field of process in the water and/or wastewater sector including national/international recognition through peer reviewed publications Understanding of the technical challenged faced by the water industry People management and leadership experience Programme and financial management capabilities with experience in complete project lifecycle stages Package: Salary - up to £65k 24 days holiday Pension scheme contribution (employer 3% minimum and employer 6%) or ( employee 6% and employer 12%) Bonus is up to 20% of base salary Car allowance 5,800.00 To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK without visa restrictions.
