System Engineer - Integration & Capability Engineer Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria Duration: 12 months Pay rate: £53.00 P/H LTD We are looking to recruit a Systems Engineer with proven ability of undertaking systems integration and test activity on complex technology related projects. You will be working with a leading company in the defence sector, on the integration facilities for the UKs future submarine capability. You will look at aspects of the clients capability to support complex electronics systems integration & qualification. The capabilities range from the usage of hardware refence sets, the development of environmental & scenario- based simulator technologies, and the wider capability of other test and integration facilities within the firm and its partner bases. Responsibilities: Development of complex electronic systems integration strategies Audit & assessment of test facility capabilities to identify capability gaps & develop strategies to overcome problems Work with the Systems Integration team to agree integration tests associated with integration qualification plans Requirements: Proven ability working in Systems Engineering, with specialism in system test & integration Proven ability gained working on complex electronic systems &/ or simulator development Background of working in the defence industry. Experience working on submarines or naval technology desirable not essential, knowledge of Control & Automation systems or Model based Systems Engineering also desirable. Additional: Please note, due to the sensitive nature of the product all applicants must be capable of gaining a UK MOD Security Clearance to SC level.
