JOB TITLE: Principle Systems Engineer LOCATION: Barrow in Furness or Bristol RATE: up to £65,000 plus a competitive pension scheme, company contributed Share Incentive Plan, Flexible working hours and Cycle2work scheme. MUST HAVES: - Degree Qualified in a relevant STEM subject - Demonstratable knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle whilst applying good engineering practices - Strong understanding of engineering standards including safety and environmental regulations - Demonstratable Man Management experience - Previous experience of working within a highly regulated industry including Nuclear, defence or Aerospace - Competent in the following: Requirements Engineering Defining Architectures (EG MoDAF, TOGAF) Defining and managing interfaces between systems System integration and testing, including acceptance activities Configuration management Model- based systems engineering including SySML - Strong understanding of the inputs and dependencies that will impact system design as well as product delivery. - Ideally you will be hold current Security clearance ROLE INFORMATION: As the Principle Systems Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of programmes assisting with design, development, integration, managing and supporting systems. You will be required to complete but not limited to the following duties: - Develop complex system architectures and sub systems and provide evidence for fitness for purpose - Integrating systems containing electronic, mechanical and software sub systems and understanding the potential impact on the interfacing systems - Take accountability for technical work packages and provide guidance and coaching to other engineers - Steering new system development through implementation of best practice systems Lifecyle processes - Work alongside customers to support delivered systems and provide solutions to any issues - Undertake peer reviews or checking and verification tasks as directed - Produce technical documentation and report progress and feedback to team members and leadership Since 1978, Rullion has been securing exceptional candidates for a range of clients; from large well-known brands, to SMEs and start ups.
