Overview
B&CE we’re an award winning not-for-profit organisation creating simple financial projects. We’ve become the experts in providing good value products that working people need. Maybe you already know us as the provider of The People’s Pension? The main purpose of the role is to design and produce quarterly updates of the financial projection model which are reviewed by the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis. This will require regular reviews of assumptions used in the model such as staffing requirements, level of contributions and dormancy rates. Trend analysis will be conducted on key variables that are included in the model to test the accuracy and appropriateness ensuring easily understandable written analysis for all results. Key responsibilities: • Produce our quarterly projection models which monitor the Group’s profitability • Analyse complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations • Aid in the creation and development of ad hoc financial models to assist and support strategic initiatives • Analyse past and current trends to facilitate and support timely and definable planning • Work closely with all areas of the business to determine and question key assumptions • Automate and enhance spreadsheets to ensure integrity of financial models and projections • Actively seek appropriate opportunities to develop self within role and the business. If you’re right for this role? • Proven experience gained within an analytical environment ideally within a finance department or similar • Strong modelling and analytic skills utilising spreadsheets software • Experience in analysing financial data and can draw appropriate conclusions • Excellent report writing skills able to write formal reports to director level • Part qualified status (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) • Can Identify problems and determine solutions • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel B&CE is an equal opportunities employer.
