Overview
Vargo are working exclusively with an award winning fintech organisation in the heart of London’s tech scene to recruit a team of outstanding full stack developers to scale their platform. The company have an extensive pipeline of projects kicking off throughout 2020. We are looking for developers that are passionate and inquisitive to build additional features into the existing SaaS platform and develop services to enable its internationalisation. An understanding of product architecture would be great as you will play a key role in shaping the direction of the platform in the future. We are looking for developers that love to take things apart to learn how they work to enable them to continuously improve the product. Although a full stack position there is a leaning towards back-end development and candidates will need to come from a strong PHP and JavaScript background and be comfortable working with frameworks such as Laravel and Vue.JS or something similar. A good understanding of SOLID principles and a customer first mindset will stand you in good stead to join the team. Any experience with RESTful API’s, Amazon Webservices or Machine Learning would be great but are by no means essential. Whilst some remote working is available, we are looking for candidates that are based around and able to travel to London on at least a few days per week. Responsibilities Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions Design client-side and server-side architecture Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications Write effective APIs Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software Create security and data protection settings Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design Write technical documentation Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software Requirements Proven experience as a full stack developer or similar role Experience developing desktop and mobile applications Familiarity with common stacks Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js) Familiarity with databases, web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design Excellent communication and teamwork skills Great attention to detail Organisational skills An analytical mind Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field Get in touch with Ian Blackburn for more information
