Overview

Our client an established and expanding business within the food industry are looking to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Manager. Overall Purpose: Reporting to the Operations Manager your job will be to oversee and manage the supply chain in order to maximise the process efficiency and productivity in the most economical way possible whilst leading and motivating a team of professionals to ensure we are achieving an exceptional level of service, accuracy and capacity across the supply chain process. Key Duties Include: Guaranteeing material availability through managing an end to end process that procures or produces the requirement quantities on time. Ensuring a smooth end to end process through the factory from order to invoice. Leading team to ensure material availability, accuracy of stock control and the accurate scheduling of production. Triggering communication and active engagement amongst stakeholders across the supply chain towards a common goal; the provision of traceable and transparent information that would promote food safety. Using computer software to track goods from origin to delivery. Maintaining and improving relationships of supply chain partners. Improving the overall supply chain performance and looking for any possible innovations to the process. Working on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance. Establishing SLAs within the customer service team and ensuring achievement. Robustly managing complaints, establishing root cause and putting in measures to prevent. Implementing cost reduction principles. Experience Required: Educated to degree level or equivalent experience. An appreciation of the demands of meeting Company Objectives and Targets. Business development, customer relationship management and problem resolution experience. An understanding of customer service excellence inside-out and identifying areas for improvement on a daily basis. Ability to own issue resolution, root cause analysis and remediation. Ability to interact with clients, management and peers in an appropriate, professional manner. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good working knowledge of purchasing, category management and stock management. Previous experience working within the Food industry. The Package: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience. Day shift position. Pension scheme. Holiday package.
