Overview

Central Employment are delighted to be working with a leading food client based in the Gateshead area. Due to an internal restructure they are looking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager to manage material availability, demand planning and provide improvements to the Supply Chain process. The ideal candidate will have experience within FMCG/Food and be looking for a step up into management after a demonstrable career in supply chain roles. This is an excellent opportunity for career progression with a market leader within the sector. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will oversee and manage the supply chain improving process efficiency and productivity, leading a team of professionals to improve service, accuracy, and capacity across the supply chain process. Key Responsibilities Ensuring a robust and efficient end to end process through the factory from order to invoice Leading team to ensure material availability, the accuracy of stock control and the accurate scheduling of production Engagement with stakeholders within the supply chain function, working towards a common goal; the traceability and transparency of the supply chain Efficient management of complaints, carrying out root cause analysis and putting in measures to prevent repeat incidents Maintaining and improving relationship's of supply chain partners Suggesting, improving and updating the supply chain performance including innovation improvements or process updates Working on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analyzing performance Establishing and adhering to SLAs within the customer service team Implementing cost reduction principles Essential Requirements Educated to degree level or demonstrable work experience in the supply chain Good customer relationship management and problem resolution Demonstrable experience in root cause analysis and appropriate remediation Excellent interpersonal skills and professional communication Minimum of 4 years' work experience in a similar FMCG/Food role This role is an immediate start so please apply online (attaching your CV) as soon as possible.
