Overview
A leading sportswear business is looking to recruit a Production Manager to work across SMU projects with key football clubs. You will be accountable for on-time placement, production and shipment of all products offered within the SMU range. You will work with the Senior Production Manager to ensure all key dates associated with the critical paths are fully understood and adhered to. Responsibilities of the job include: · Working closely with Senior Production Manager to source products from Far East · planning and organising production schedules · estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with factories · cost products and negotiate prices to achieve target margins · ensuring factories have necessary audit requirements · determining quality control standards · overseeing production processes to ensure agreed ex-factory dates are met · liaising with Commercial Team to understand the requirement · managing critical path · pre-production and bulk sample approval · Escalate any production issues to avoid delivery delays/quality issues · Initiate, maintain and strengthen relationships with new and existing suppliers You must come from a sportswear background and possess a solid understanding of technical products . Along with being approachable, personable with a positive attitude, willing to help and provide support as needed. Football club knowledge and exposure is desirable.
