Overview
Consult Search & Selection are looking for an Operations and Logistics Coordinator to Coordinate UK warehousing and logistics transactional activity.Monitor messaging ensuring effectivity and performance, escalate issues and take action to maintain throughout. Our client is a Global Market Leading Medical Devices manufacturer, specialising in; connected care equipment, surgical workflows & instruments, cardiology diagnostics and safe patient handling. Location: Leicestershire Temporary 6-month contract. £12ph What will you be doing? Maintains transactional flows on inbound, outbound shipping confirmations and inventory alignment. Understand and maintain transactional turnaround times measure and report daily activity. Adhere to goals in safety, quality, delivery and cost working with the team to implement plans that optimize process and service levels. Monitor daily activity and take appropriate action so that service commitments are met, and internal customers are kept informed. Escalate issues with clear overview and data driven communication. Ensure all tasks are acted on in a timely accurate manner and according to the current process in order to maintain customer and operations lead-time requirements. Drive to maintain metrics to measure warehouse performance ensuring “Turn Around Times” (TAT’s) are met. Collaborate with cross function customers (Customer Care, Finance, HR etc etc) and external partners to drive operational excellence. What we are looking for: 2/3 years’ experience in logistics/warehousing/distribution operation office-based activities Knowledge of key warehousing, distribution, logistics and inventory control processes and current best practices. A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel (or equivalent), Word, E-Mail and word processing applications with associated experience in ERP systems is a prerequisite. Normal hours of business are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm. You are required to be flexible around these hours, as the business serves markets in various time zones. You will be required to travel to visit other sites and attend regional / international meetings.
