Senior Buying Manager This role is based in Western Europe but our client are keen to attract UK based candidates who might not have thought of relocating previously.This is an excellent opportunity to accelerate your commercial career with a leading Retailer £competitive I am currently recruiting for a Senior Buying Manager to join a well-known international retailer to join a growing Commercial Buying team. You will be responsible for driving the Buying strategy to ensure the growth in both sales & profitability while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued development in the buying department. As the Head of Buying some of your duties will include; Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers Analysing data Coordinating products to buy across multiple countries. Working collaboratively with the International buying teams Ensuring selected product lines achieve season defined timeframes Maintaining best cost prices across the department Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines with the buying team Attending trade fairs / shows including international Working closely with the product teams to maintain quality levels within products Develop the Buying team to ensure individuals fulfil their individual career potential Presenting reports, figures and trend information to the Senior Management team Key requirements for the role; Proven previous experience as Senior Buying Manager / Category Manager / Senior Buyer within a fast moving FMCG / Food environment Educated to degree level essential Ability to influence and negotiate effectively Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing retail market. Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels UK Full Driving Licence is essential Excellent understanding of all MS Office products.
