Security Engineer
Overview
Essential Skills Strong knowledge of secure environments including concepts such as system hardening, network segmentation, and access controls. Strong understanding of compliance and governance initiatives. Solid time management skills and ability to operate independently. Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and analysis of results. Solid ability to understand, and promote security policies. Ability to conduct technical risk assessments for new applications and third parties. Strong organization/project planning and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments. Advanced communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills. Desirable Skills An ability to work in a distributed but structured team environment. Understanding of data communications and TCP/IP. Experienced and skilled in the configuration and maintenance of security infrastructure, including Web Content Filtering, Web Application Firewalls, and Anti-Virus technologies. Experienced in conducting appropriate due diligence for on-site infrastructure and 3rd party engagements. Experience identifying and educating teams on the remediation of gaps in compliance with policies and industry best practices. Experience of working for a global enterprise company. Professional Information Security certifications, such as CISSP, SSCP, CEH, CCNP. Ethical hacker experience, including OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities. Good understanding of coding, best practices, and security vulnerability remediation.
