Head of Infrastructure & IT Security - Staffordshire IT Infrastructure Manager / IT Security Manager / Head of IT / Information Governance / ISO standards, ISO9001, ISO 27001 Location –Staffordshire, Lichfield Salary – 65k plus benefits This market leading software house is looking for a dynamic IT Security & Infrastructure Manager to lead a team of IT Infrastructure engineers responsible for supporting and managing the organisation’s Infrastructure, including both their own internal systems and the platform that their solutions are hosted on. Key Responsibilities for this IT Security & Infrastructure Manager role: To manage and maintain the infrastructure 24/7 service within budget and in accordance with defined SLAs. Provide an effective, reliable and secure communications infrastructure that follows industry best practice to underpin all Group computer systems. Capacity plan services provided to customers to ensure that expectations are managed. Ensure the integrity of the Group’s electronically held information by ensuring a high-level of Information Governance and information security and by ensuring that back-up and disaster recovery plans are robust and tested. Accountable for delivering the Infrastructure project roadmap. Construct business cases for new projects. Understand and analyse processes and working practices across the team and work to continually make things better. Look outside of the department, break down silos across the organization and create a more joined-up way of working. Work with the CTO to shape, size, and grow the team. Manage key relationships, including those with partners and out-source development teams. Core skills for this IT Infrastructure Manager role Previous experience leading a team of infrastructure engineers to deliver a 1st class 24/7 service. Previous experience of managing & implementing services in Azure A leadership & management style that believes in people Demonstrable knowledge in the area of network security, ideally supported with formal certifications / qualifications. Working knowledge of Information Governance and relevant ISO standards, e.g. ISO9001, ISO 27001, etc. Personable, confident and hardworking, with excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills. The ability to make hard decisions where required to ensure that the business has the best opportunity possible to succeed. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. ITIL Foundation (or equivalent) certification. Wide range of technical skills including: Windows Server (2008 upwards), LANs, WANs, TCP/IP, Virtualisation, VMWare, Routing, Citrix, SANs, SQL Server, network design, firewalls, Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure, system monitoring & management, Azure. Desirable skills VMWare certification Open Source, Linux, VoIP telephony expertise PRINCE-2 or other project management experience Degree qualified It is essential that the IT Infrastructure Manager has a strong IT background and a broad technical knowledge, whilst having sufficient skills / experience to support the rest of the team and get hands on when required. This would potentially suit someone who has spent the last 5 years plus in a technical team lead role and wants to start a career in management.
