Head of Infrastructure & IT Security Head of Infrastructure / IT Security / Manager / Project Manager / Lichfield / Staffordshire My client, a successful and well established global software company is looking for a passionate and experienced Head of Infrastructure and IT Security to join their IT team and their newly refurbished head offices in Lichfield, Staffordshire. The Head of Infrastructure and IT Security will manage a team of Infrastructure Engineers and work alongside the Data Protection Officer to ensure that technical security meets the needs of the business and our customer base. You will also be responsible for ensuring that a first-class service is delivered to both internal users and external customers. As well as all line management, budgeting and recruitment, defining project roadmaps in conjunction with key stakeholders and communicating effectively with key stakeholders within the business up to board level. Key Responsibilities; Manage and maintain the Infrastructure 24/7 service within budget and in accordance with defined SLAs. Provide an effective, reliable and secure infrastructure that follows industry best practice to underpin all Group computer systems. Ensure the integrity of the Group's electronically held information by ensuring a high-level of Information Governance and information security and by ensuring that back-up and disaster recovery plans are robust and tested. Deliver the Infrastructure project roadmap. Construct business cases for new projects. Understand and analyse processes and working practices across the team and work to continually improve service. Work with all Company departments, break down silos across the organisation and create a more joined-up way of working. Overall ownership of our ISO27001 certification, ensuring that policies and best practice are adhered to / regularly reviewed and that our capability is regularly audited in line with the requirements of maintaining the standard. Work collaboratively with the DPO to ensure that our privacy and compliance practices, including but not limited to the GDPR, are upheld across the business and that we foster a mindset of continual improvement. Manage key relationships, including those with partners and outsourced consultants. Key Skills & Experience required: The ability to manage a heavy workload, delegate effectively and focus limited time and energy on the few items that bring the most value to the business. Previous experience leading a team of Infrastructure Engineers to deliver a first- class 24/7 SaaS solution. Proven prior experience of working with a blend of Infrastructure that is co-located, IaaS and public cloud hosted. Demonstrable knowledge in the area of network security, ideally supported with formal certifications / qualifications. Working knowledge of ISO9001. Wide range of technical skills: Windows Server (2008 upwards), LANs, WANs, TCP/IP, Virtualisation, VMware, Routing, Citrix, SANs, SQL Server, network design, firewalls, Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure, system monitoring & management.
