Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) ComparetheMarket Peterborough ComparetheMarket's Product Engineer department have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their team. This role will be focused on complex services that underpin the range of customer facing products comparethemarket provide. As a Senior Automation Engineer/Software Development Engineer in Test in this team, you will use your solid coding skills to work alongside our developers to build automated tests and ensure the services we push out are of the highest quality. With a DevOps mindset, you will produce robust and well thought through testing strategies, as well as run and manage pipelines of automated testing schedules. Our teams want to continuously deploy their code, and you will enable this to happen with one mind on maintaining the integrity of our services. What will it take to be successful? Have a solid amount of programming experience in C#/.NET core and/or JavaScript/NodeJS, (although we will consider backgrounds in other languages) Knowledge of API Automation Experience of working in an Agile/SCRUM environment Experience in creating new testing frameworks, as well as effectively maintaining existing test code. Ability to write clean, maintainable and efficient code Experience with event driven architectures Experience of exploratory, security and performance testing Passionate about technology, with an ability to master new technologies Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Thrives in a fast-paced digital environment Why choose us?
